'Normal'-ity?

Since the birth of society, us humans have tried to make a structure of power in which has it's own trusted leader, and every single member of that structure are to obey it's trusted leader. Then, we tried to set boundaries on which are acceptable for the society and which are not, commonly known as rules, or regulations, etc. As we built larger society, more rules are created, some might say it is for the common purpose, some might say it is for a better cause, others might say it is created for our comfort. That kind of thinking lead to the birth of the word 'normal'.

Most of us would not think that the word 'normal' is weird since it is such a common phenomenon on modern society. Well, that is not wrong since 'normal' in today's terms are used to gain equal satisfaction for everyone so we can maintain order. At least, that was the purpose, but in reality we used normal to change other people's behaviour that are not in our liking, we used it as a tool to control other people around us, especially the ones that are different than what society wants. With that, ladies and gentlemen comes the death of our own unique identity or differentiation, critical thinking are considered rebellion, and it started racism, rejects of society, self-denial, economical classes, etc. Just because they all were blinded by 'normal' and what society wants.

With that, let's face reality, if we didn't demand people to be what we want them to be, would there really be racism? If we accepted people with their own uniqueness and indentity, would you see a kid crying in the corner of a room, just because his class or family or society bullied him because he is different? If, we accepted ourselves with it's own strength and weaknesses, would we consider a critic from others an insult, or would we consider it a suggestions even if it were brought up in a bad way?

Ladies and gentleman, us humans are imperfect, yes, that is true, but it is also true that we humans can improve. Think about this, since kindergarten, how many numbers have you memorised? how can you, somehow walk through great efforts, even though you were nothing but a single embrio? how can you, read this post without having to think about, how to read a?, or b?, or c?, or what is the shape of a?, you just read, didn't you? Those are proofs that we humans can improve and evolve to become better than we are at this very second. Then, a question is frequently asked, "It is not that simple, how can we improve ourselves if we don't know how?" Well, the answer is simple, start asking yourselves "Who am i?", "What do i want to do with my life?", and "How did i end up here?". Please bear in mind the answer can't be a name, a job (astronaut, doctor, etc.), a status (for example : a happy guy, a lonely person, a poor person, etc.), or a simple-minded answer (for example : i just sit here, i just read this, i just walk here, etc.).

Thank you for reading

Forgiving and Forgetting

Interactions between humans in a world full of society is, in a sense, inevitable. No matter where you go and what you do it is almost impossible to encounter it without interacting with other human beings for whatever reason it may be. Such interactions may or may not have good result, sometimes the results are as satisfying as it gets, but other times it can inflict a "mental injury". It doesn't necessarily means trauma, those "mental injury" is basically just intense moment of displeasing and discomforting situation that you experienced (again doesn't have to be traumatic). To survive, we humans evolved our psychological function to adapt to such situations and thus born the terms "Forgiving". But for some unknown reason, forgiving is now being translated to forgetting your problems, of course the actions of forgiving is way far off from forgetting something. Let us start with forgetting, an action we take to simply disengage our brains fr...

Existence

In our current era, where social media are widely used, the hunger for existence are being experienced by many. From the use of facebook to share one's own thought, to instagram to share our photo and experience, even to foursquare to tell people where we are, and other methods are used to prove our existence. Some might argue that those are for fun, but none could truly justify the truth that many people are becoming dependent upon it to prove their existence. Even privacy are being excluded simply to prove that they are there, they are alive, they "exist". This raises a good question, what is existence, truly? Michael from Vsauce did an excellent job at explaining "How people dissappear" ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPBJgpK0Ulc ). His video explains, that even in this era of cctv's and continous watch people can still dissappear. Those disappearances could be because of accidents that can't be explained, missing dead body, or a simple mista...

Running again?

In this world, we humans were only given one life to live. Once chance to do it all, one shot to make the best decision, or at least that's what most people say. Others beleive we will be reincarnated one day, through many means, others simply say we dissappear into nothingness, others say we just simply become one with the world. But when do we, as humans, really die? When we're shot through the heart? When our heads got sliced? When other people broke our hearts, our hope, our spirit? The answer is simple, when we are forgotten. When our existence in this world, ceased to be. When what we've done, what we've been through, what we had, ceased to be acknowledged by others. If so, then comes the question, "What have I been doing all this time?" for a lot of people, that question remains unanswered, even until the time of their death. Some of you might say, the answer is a chronological one, since birth i was like this and that, then i grew up, and bla b...
